We are highly respected in our industry, and we value our integrity above all else.   The job Overview: You will be a critical part of our team, working directly with our Clients and our financial advisors to make sure all the details of Client accounts are implemented properly and with efficiency.   This is a detail-oriented position that requires the ability to multitask, anticipate needs, and adjust to changing priorities as well as operate as an effective member of a team.  Elements of responsibilities include processing account openings, closures, transfers, and distributions according to government regulations and company policies.  You will be expected to answer and prioritize telephone calls, emails, daily account maintenance and other administrative support tasks.    You will need to comprehend the details of our investment strategies, our proprietary investment process, investment products and programs, and the asset allocation tools that we use.   At Merriman Wealth Management we work as a team, which includes supporting each other and lending a hand. It is not uncommon to utilize your skills and talents in other departments to work on projects and short-term tasks that need assistance.   Details: Normal hours are 7 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday. You may be asked to occasionally attend a client event outside of normal business hours.   Qualifications Our Client Services Account Specialists must be comfortable dealing with information that is sensitive, personal and confidential. Other essential attributes include accuracy, good judgment, tact, reliability, trustworthiness, professional poise, excellent communication skills, the ability to work under stress and deal with clients who are under stress. A successful candidate will be proficient in the Microsoft suite of products, DocuSign, and other related software. We use Excel and Outlook daily. While ideal, it is not required that our Client Services Account Specialists are familiar with financial markets and personal finance in general. We welcome applicants who have experience in event planning, restaurant/hospitality, and other service industries where client interaction and care are most important.    Work Environment: This position works in a high-rise office environment.  The position requires sitting, standing and mobility throughout the office.  Ability to use common office products (phone, fax, PC and related software) is necessary to perform this job. The ability to communicate clearly and professionally is vital to the role of Client Services Account Specialist.   During the COVID-19 outbreak, you will be expected to work from home or other non-office location with internet access. We are highly selective in choosing team members and seek a unique individual who has a driving passion for engaging with and taking care of people and an interest in financial planning and investment management.   The Role As an Intern, your primary role will be to support one or more advisors with developing financial and investment recommendations for new and existing clients.
